White-fronted bee-eater

Inhabits bush country and woodland in the Rift valley, from Mount Suswa up to Menengai. Also reported in Kerio Valley and in Masai Mara. Nests in colonies that dig their nests in sand walls. Frequently perches on low branches to detect the passing insect prey.
