PARKS AND RESERVES: LAKE ELMENTEITA: LODGING

Closeness to Nakuru offers the chance to stay at one of the Lake Nakuru lodges and make a day trip to Elmenteita. Nevertheless, the latter hosts two choices for lodging:

    Lake Elementaita Lodge:

This place is an ancient farmhouse, built in 1916, which belonged to the settler farmer Lord Galbraith Cole. The facilities are surrounded by beautiful gardens up a vantage point over the lake's lanscape. The quality of the restaurant is above average. Politeness of the employees reaches surfeit, but this doesn't necessarily mean better service. Beware, since it belongs to the same group that owns Lake Nakuru Lodge, your booking at Nakuru may be transferred to Elmenteita without prior notice and without your consent.

    Delamere's Camp:

Delamere's is a luxury tented camp of Savannah Camps & Lodges, located at the Soysambu Estate private wildlife sanctuary, which surrounds the western shore.
